                          Introduction

Websites have become a common resource or reference used by many to do research and the world wide web brings in an array of information in comparison to small libraries. In addition, many material that cannot be published are also presented in the Internet. The resources found in the internet may vary from personal opinions to complex research.

However, the danger of the information provided on the internet is that any person can place their ideas and thoughts on the web. There is little or no process in which the content placed on the websites can be checked. If one is to use these sites for general knowledge, it may not seem dangers. However, when learners use these website for research and review, then there must be some criteria for students to use so as to not be misguided into using non-supportive material for their research.

This website can used as a tool for those who wish to use the internet as a mode of information for their research paper. This website aims to:

bullet

introduce students to the different types of websites

bullet

to help students evaluate websites using specific criterion

bullet

to assist students to critically analyze websites and to identify the information on the website in relevance to their research
